Nevada HAND is a mission-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) real estate development, construction, and management organization that uses a variety of funding strategies to build affordable apartment communities for low-income adults, families, and seniors. Established in 1993, Nevada HAND has built and/or currently manages 30 affordable apartment communities (42 'properties' - several communities containing 2-4 distinct entities) throughout the Las Vegas area that are home to almost 6,500 southern Nevadans, including the only two affordable assisted living facilities in the state, each providing 24-hour support to individuals needing a higher level of care. Nevada HAND delivers a special promise of quality, with the resident experience and improving lives at the core of our mission. Approaching 25 years of experience in the industry, Nevada HAND has developed and refined its expertise and stewardship, growing through the years to become the largest nonprofit developer of affordable housing in the state of Nevada. In addition to providing affordable apartment communities, Nevada HAND provides supportive services that maximize its ability to positively impact not only residents but also our surrounding neighborhoods. In this service-enriched model, affordable housing serves as a platform for stability and success.
