Established in 1975, AHC Inc. operates in Arlington, Virginia, and other parts of the greater Washington, DC - Baltimore area, including Baltimore, Maryland; Montgomery County, Maryland; Alexandria, Virginia, and Fairfax County, Virginia. In 2014, AHC acquired its first affordable housing property in Washington, DC partnering with Lincoln Westmoreland to refinance a 108-unit apartment building and build a new 56-unit multifamily property adjacent to it. 2015 saw the completion of The Shell, a new 83-unit affordable rental community in Arlington. AHC also acquired Dunfield Townhomes, a 312-unit garden complex in Baltimore County, completed major renovations at Madera Apartments (47 units) in Baltimore, and continued renovation work at Woodbury Park (365 units). Jackson Crossing, a new 78-unit apartment community in Alexandria, was completed in early 2016. Altogether, AHC's portfolio includes 46 properties with more than 6,700 units. Most properties are managed by AHC Management, a for-profit subsidiary of AHC. Resident Services are offered at 15 properties.
